The 2004 Midget Championship brought a different look to the JVFL. The host team was the Little Bearcats from Huntingdon.
It was their inaugural season, and they posted an astounding 11-1 season and placed 2nd in the Regular Season. The opponent for the Bearcats
was the Kish Indians, they themselves had a season to remember. The Indians went through a 12 game season, and went absolutely perfect along
the way, 12-0 Regular Season Champs. The game was played very hard and competitive by both teams, showing how midget football should be played.
Both teams were fundamentally sound and executed the "off tackle" nicely. However two key sweep plays, some very stringent defenses made way for
the Kish Indians to prevail 14-0 to win their first title since 1987. Congrats to both teams players and coaches for their hard work this season.
Special thanks goes to JVFL Photographer Andy Wray for the primo pics of the game, and to Dave Burman for being "in the house" with "WCHX"
(the game was live on 105.5FM), and to Jeff Gill & Kenny Varner for the stories in the "Lewistown Sentinel" & "County Observer". Please enjoy
the game photos, newspaper articles, game program and if you want to order your own Official Midget Super Bowl Tape; let us know. Thanks again
to all that helped make this possible for all the players and children of our League.
