The Juniata Valley Football League
Presents
"The 2001 Senior Bowl"

The J.V.F.L. decided it was time for something different to be done in the League
for a season finale. An All-Star Team was mentioned, but then you have politics back in
the picture; no go! So, then it was mentioned that we have a game between the two feeder
High School programs, Lewistown and Indian Valley. Then we took it a step further, and
made the games to be played only with the 12 year olds, last year of midget football, and
set the rule that all players must start. This would give the opportunity for all the children to
at least play at Mitchell Field for one game. The teams were broke down as follows :
Lewistown : McVeytown, Terrace, Lewistown, East Juniata
Indian Valley : Little Mingoes, Derry Decatur, Kish, Belltown
We think the game was a big hit with the players, and would like to continue the game in
years to follow. There has been talk to compete for the "Little Iron Kettle", enjoy the high-
lights. This years inaugural game was won by the Indian Valley squad by the score of 39-0.
The series will start : Warriors - 1, Panthers - 0. Tapes of the game will be available soon.
