"MAITLAND LIONS"
The "Lions" were a very competitive team from the 70's and the
80's. They won
numerous championships, and wrote the book on the running game.
The team lasted
until the mid 80's, and combined with the "Belltown Bobcats".
Also, the team was
re-formed in 1997 under the name "Derry Decatur Cyclones", however
the home
games are not at the old Maitland Field. They are played at
the Decatur School. If
