League Meeting Minutes, 21 February 2002 at 8:30pm, Terrace Community Building.

OLD ISSUES :

The JVFL Coaches Roster was updated with any changes thus far in the year, copies will be made

available at the next meeting.

Flag Football for 5 and 6 year old children will be initiated for the 2002 season. This event will be for

both girls and boys. The season will run in conjunction with the regular season games. Further information will

be passed as gathered.

A discussion was brought about to decrease the length of the Midget Football quarters from 10

minutes to 8 minutes. This issue did not bring enough votes in favor to vote on. Midget quarters will remain

10 minutes.

Dates for the 2002 Super Bowls and Senior Bowl were determined :

Pee-Wee Super Bowl - Sunday, 27 October 2002 at 3:00pm

Midget Super Bowl - Sunday, 27 October 2002 at 6:00pm

Senior Bowl - Sunday, 3 November 2002 at 1:00pm

** These events will take place at Mitchell Field

Punt, Pass and Kick will definitely be a League Event for the 2002 Season. The sanctioning of this

event will be checked for all local children to further advance in the event.

Footballs will be purchased again this year for Kid Connection. This year it was voted upon to in-

crease the amount from 500 to 1000. Kid Connection this year will be 27 April.

All Organizations were represented for the League Meeting.

NEW ISSUES :

Determine Flag Football Regulations, and any prerequisites for coaches.

Discuss an event for Kid Connection, and any volunteers.

Reminder for anything to add to the website.

Review Proposed 2002 League Schedule.
