League Meeting Minutes, 28 March 2002 at 8:00pm, Terrace Community Building. |

OLD ISSUES : |
|||||||||
|
Sign up dates were determined for the 2002 season. They will be held at the Brooklyn Fire Co. from |
|||||||||
|
the hours of 10am - 2pm on the following Saturdays : May 18, June 8 & 29, July 13 & 20. The possibility of a |
|||||||||
|
Flag Football registration at Kid Connection on April 27 will be discussed next meeting. |
|||||||||
|
The proposed League Schedule for the 2002 season was reviewed for changes. The change being |
|||||||||
|
made is the start of the regular season games will begin on Sunday, 8 September. The change was made |
|||||||||
|
being that with only the 9 nine current teams in the League, starting the last week in August (being the norm), |
|||||||||
|
each team would have been scheduled 3 byes during the course of the regular season. Now changing the start |
|||||||||
|
date to Sept. 8, each team will only have 1 bye. New schedules will be made available next meeting. |
|||||||||
|
Some basic Flag Football Regulations were discussed, enough to make the public aware of our |
|||||||||
|
mission and goals. The issues thus far determined are as follows : A fun no contact at all sport, shirts and flags |
|||||||||
|
will be provided by the League, $10 registration fee, sneakers (cleats?), Pee-Wee size football, non-competitive, |
|||||||||
|
every child plays, School Districts or Organizations for boundaries. More will be discussed at a later meeting. |
